Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford insists he’s spotted a similarity between Marco Silva and Sam Allardyce.

Silva has got Everton playing a more flamboyant style of football this term, after Toffees fans criticised Allardyce’s tactics last term.
But Pickford insists that the instructions he has been given from either manager are not entirely different.
The goalkeeper said: “As for playing out from the back he encourages that a bit more but it’s not always about playing from the back, it’s risk management, the risk factor of it.
“So Marco isn’t always on about playing out from the back everytime because we’ve got an aerial threat with the likes of Calvert-Lewin, Tosun, Richarlison on the left is an aerial threat as well, so it’s about getting the risk right.
“I don’t think that’s too dissimilar to what the other managers I’ve had here have asked for.”

Despite Pickford’s comments there has been a noticeable willingness from Everton to play on the front-foot more often this season.
Allardyce had Everton well structured, but his lack of attacking intent did lead to criticism from the Goodison Park crowd.
The Toffees have hit a difficult run of form of late, after losing their last two matches.
Everton are under pressure to start getting back to winning ways, and take on newly promoted Fulham tomorrow.
