Everton managed to bring in Fabian Delph over the summer transfer window, and he looks set to play an important role for Marco Silva’s side.

Delph was brought in at Everton over the summer, and he was a player who Pickford knew well from their time together with England.
As soon as Pickford heard that Delph was set to sign for Everton he praised the midfielder’s qualities to his teammates.
And the £30 million goalkeeper (BBC Sport) has suggested that Delph has already caught the eye in Everton training.
“The lads were asking what type of lad he was,” Pickford said.
“I was telling them he was a proper leader, a good lad around the place but I only knew him from England but I knew he was a proper leader and knew how to win.
“He’s settled quickly. He’s a great lad, all the lads buzz off him, he shows his qualities out on the training pitch and that shows on game day as well.”
Delph already seems to have pushed his way into Marco Silva’s starting line-up at Everton so far, but despite some impressive performances, results have not gone to the Toffees way.

Everton have looked vulnerable defensively in the opening few weeks of the season, and they still have not found the clinical scorer which they have lacked for so long.
Considering the heavy investment at Everton over the summer their start has been a big disappointment.
And the pressure is on Silva’s men to start improving quickly, otherwise their aim of breaking into the top six is going to start looking like a distant dream.
Everton’s task this weekend looks particularly tough as they take on Manchester City at Goodison Park tomorrow.
