Glasgow Rangers winger Jordan Jones is preparing for his first season at Ibrox after joining the Gers from their Scottish Premiership rivals.
Jordan Jones has told Sky Sports that he was told before joining Rangers just how demanding Steven Gerrard is, and suggested that those who told him about the Gers boss were absolutely spot on.
Jones is preparing for his first season at Ibrox after joining following the expiration of his Kilmarnock contract. Having shown plenty of promise during his time at Rugby Park, the Northern Ireland international will be looking to take his game to the next level and help Rangers end their current wait for a major trophy.
And it appears that he is working under the perfect boss as he looks to make the most of his talent as he discussed the attributes that he has already noticed in his new manager.
“He is a massive name in football,” he told Sky Sports. “I got told he is very demanding and I can see that he is.
“I am enjoying it so far. It is a massive time for the club, the squad is massive and there is going to be healthy competition for places.
Despite being a new signing, the winger is certainly not guaranteed a place in the side.
Rangers have a number of exciting wide options already on their books, and that competition is only going to increase if the Gers do manage to bring Ryan Kent back in some capacity for the coming campaign.
Jones has the potential to be a real success at Ibrox. And given that he arrived on a free transfer, there is every reason to believe that he could prove to be an absolutely inspired signing for the Gers.
