Glasgow Rangers fans were delighted as the Ibrox summer target helped his current side complete a famous win.

A number of Rangers fans have responded to Jordan Jones’ tweet which saw the Gers summer target express his delight after helping Kilmarnock beat Celtic at Rugby Park.

Steve Clarke continued his remarkable record against the Scottish Premiership champions. He is yet to lose since being appointed by Killie, and that run continued with a dramatic win on Sunday.

Stuart Findlay’s header with one of the last touches of the game helped Kilmarnock to a 2-1 win that then meant that Rangers were able to move above their Old Firm rivals as they thrashed St Johnstone 5-1 at Ibrox later in the day.

One of Killie’s key players in the win was Jones. He caused Celtic numerous problems throughout the game, prompting a number of fans to slam Mikael Lustig’s performance.

And his display also caught the eye of many Rangers fans. The Scottish Sun reported earlier this month that the Gers have been keen on the winger during the last two transfer windows, and his stock has perhaps risen after his latest performance.

So when Jones took to social media to celebrate the win, it should probably not surprise anyone that several Rangers supporters responded, praising the Northern Ireland international and suggesting that the Gers need to revisit their interest in the future.
