Ahead of his return to action in the Scottish Cup, Jones fronted up at a press conference to pledge he would do give everything on the pitch for Kilmarnock during the final few months of the season.
So Kilmarnock fans will be frustrated to see Jones’ latest social media activity, liking Rangers’ post on Instagram after their 3-2 friendly win over HJK Helsinki.
The saga adds extra spice to Rangers’ next fixture, away at Kilmarnock on Wednesday night.
Rangers have also been drawn against Kilmarnock in the Scottish Cup, providing they get past Cowdenbeath after Friday’s postponement.
The saga is not going away, and if Jones plays, the script is written for him to score a winner.
