Rangers boss Graeme Murty wanted to bring Jones to Ibrox in the winter but no deal came about for the winger to head to Glasgow.

Earlier this month Rangers made a move to try and bring Jordan Jones to Glasgow from Kilmarnock. It was reported by the Scottish Sun that Rangers had made a £350,000 move to try and sign the player, which was rejected for being well under the valuation their Scottish Premiership rivals had for the winger.
The rumour rumbled on and Jones also saw himself linked with Bristol City, but earlier this week the transfer window slammed shut and Jones remains a Killie player with no move to Ibrox happening.
One person who seemed very happy to see the end of the transfer window was the player himself. After a month of conjecture over the will-he won’t-he go to Rangers story Jones took to Twitter to make his commitment to Kilmarnock very clear:
The Northern Ireland international has been in good form since joining Kilmarnock from Middlesbrough in 2016 and Rangers were clearly hoping he could bring something to the table at Ibrox.
In the flanks is certainly an area for improvement as far as Graeme Murty is concerned and Rangers would have certainly hoped to get Jones in.

But at the end of the day Rangers simply did not meet the valuation Killie have for Jones, and his current club will be pleased that remained the case.
However, if Jones continues to perform well, do not be surprised to see his name leaping into the papers again when the transfer window reopens in the summer and Rangers go on the hunt.
