Rangers already have the future of the right-back position.

Rangers are not short of right-backs, although they are reportedly considering signing another one.
The Express claim Rangers are keen to sign Mahlon Romeo from Millwall, claiming he will be available on a free transfer at the end of the season.
The reports should concern young Rangers talent Jordan Houston, who made his Gers debut in January.
Houston, 19, is the future of Rangers’ right-back position and the club are looking to speed up his development on loan at Airdrieonians.

To convince Steven Gerrard, Houston needs to hold down a place and play well for the Scottish League One club.
So far the teenager has made two starts from two games, with Airdrieonians winning one and losing one.
Houston needs to continue to play regularly and send a message to Steven Gerrard with his performances.
If he can do so, then he can persuade Rangers he is ready to step up in 2019/20, and save them adding Romeo, another obstacle in his path.
