The Rangers youngster has yet to make his debut for Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox outfit.

Jordan Houston has vowed to do his best to dislodge James Tavernier as Steven Gerrard’s first choice right-back at Rangers – but could seek a loan move if not.
The Rangers academy youngster has yet to make his debut for the Gers, despite a string of eye-catching displays below the first team this season.
With Tavernier also in fine form – arguably the best since Rangers’ return to top-level football – Houston could have a wait on his hands, although it is a situation of which the Scotland Under-19 international is understanding.
Speaking at a Q&A session via the Rangers Youth Development Company Twitter account, he said:
Tavernier, who also has Jon Flanagan for competition, continues to be linked with a move away from Ibrox, which could impact any decision to send Houston out on loan.
The 18-year-old is likely to be encouraged by Gerrard’s attitude towards youth this season, in which Glenn Middleton, Stephen Kelly and Serge Atakayi are among those

to have made their Rangers debuts.
Could Houston eventually succeed Tavernier at Rangers?
