The former Arsenal man hasn’t kicked a ball under Klopp for over a year due to injury, but has been playing Under-23 football since February.
He played in a reserve game at Leicester City last week but Henderson’s form surely delays any plans Klopp might have to bring him back into the first XI.
Henderson is impressing in the position that Oxlade-Chamberlain made his own toward the end of last season and the reality is that the former Sunderland star is playing too well to be displaced.
Klopp’s side have at least five games left this season, but if Henderson maintains this form then nobody will be getting into the first XI ahead of him, not least someone who has spent a year on the sidelines.
