The forward has been a big hit since arriving from Southampton.
Liverpool’s Sadio Mane in action
Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has warned his teammates they cannot afford to rely on Sadio Mane, speaking to Sky Sports.
The forward is a new signing at Anfield this summer, with the Reds paying Southampton close to £40 million for his services.
He has made a strong start to life with the Reds, starring in a pre-season win over Barcelona and again playing a major role in their opening day defeat of Arsenal.
He was missing in the last week in the loss to Burnley, with many believing his absence was a big contributing factor in the 2-0 defeat.

Last night saw him return with another impressive display in the 5-0 win over Burton Albion in the EFL Cup, but Henderson has warned they cannot afford to rely on the forward.
“Obviously we missed him at the weekend, but we can’t just rely on him, we’ve got a great squad with talented players,” he told Sky Sports.
“We can’t just rely on Sadio but he’s been outstanding for us and he gives us something different. Hopefully he can continue to improve and I’m sure he will and have a big season for us.”

Henderson’s warning about Mane is likely one that manager Jurgen Klopp will be echoing to his squad.
There is no denying Mane has been impressive so far, but it would be dangerous for his side to rely on his to consistently perform at the levels he has shown.
A major issue during his time at Southampton was his lack of consistency and Liverpool relying on him to be the game changer each week could end in disaster.
