Jordan Henderson has sent a one-word message to Curtis Jones after his Liverpool teammate scored his first goal for the England Under-21 side.
After the 19-year-old posted on Instagram, Henderson wrote: Top! 🔥👏🏻 ⚽️
Jones leapt to side-foot Chelsea forward Callum Hudson-Odoi’s brilliant cross past Iker Álvarez and into the back of the net via the post.
It signalled a landmark moment for the teenager, on a night where he was lining up alongside his Liverpool teammate Rhys Williams and ex-teammate Rhian Brewster.
Jones’ goal wasn’t the only impressive aspect of his performance against Andorra’s Under-21 side.
The attacking midfielder – who Jurgen Klopp described as ‘absolutely exceptional’ in September to Liverpool’s official site – also completed two successful dribbles.

SofaScore shows that Jones also recorded two key passes, made one cross and won two ground duels on Friday evening.
He lost the ball on 19 occasions. However, that will tend to happen when you play daring, attacking football in which the ball is often put at risk.

Jones has scored two goals in eight appearances for Liverpool this season.
If he keeps impressing under both Klopp and Aidy Boothroyd, then we could potentially see him lining up for the Three Lions’ senior side in the near future.
