Jordan Henderson has raved about reported Liverpool target Jadon Sancho on Rio Ferdinand’s YouTube channel.

The Liverpool midfielder has spoken highly of the Borussia Dortmund winger, and has hailed his attitude.

The Independent reported earlier this month that the Reds are interested in signing the former Manchester City prospect in the summer transfer window.

The report claimed that Sancho finds Liverpool ‘a more attractive option’ than Manchester United, who also want him, and that Dortmund want at least £80 million as transfer fee for him.

Henderson said about Sancho on Rio Ferdinand’s YouTube channel, as transcribed by Goal.com: “A lot of people are speaking about him. He is a top player, a special player, that in training he has got something different and he’s sharp and able to get past players with ease.

“Also he’s got a good head on his shoulders, he loves football, wants to improve, listen and learn so if he just continues on that path the sky’s the limit for him really.”

The England international added: ”He just needs to keep working hard and listening to the people around him and keep doing what he’s doing. He’s been brilliant for Dortmund and England, so he just needs to carry on.”

Liverpool transfer this summer?

Sancho is a very good winger and is one of the best young players in Europe.

Given that the England international is only 20 years of age, it is safe to say that he will improve and develop in the coming years.

Given the economic climate in the world of football, there may not be too much inclination from clubs to spend big on new players this summer.

However, there is no doubt that Sancho would make Liverpool a better team, as he is quick, scores goals and provides assists.
