Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has told the club’s official website that Jordan Henderson will sign a new contract amid speculation that Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid want to sign him.
Klopp is confident that Henderson will not leave Liverpool this summer, and that he will put pen to paper on a new deal.
Klopp told Liverpool’s official website about Henderson: “Important, but it will happen.
“We will sort it, we will sort it – however it will be then. But we will sort it, no doubt about that. It will get sorted.”
PSG and Atletico Madrid interest
The Athletic reported last month that Mauricio Pochettino’s PSG and La Liga champions Atletico are interested in Henderson.
Former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez would love Atletico to sign the 31-year-old England international midfielder.
PSG head coach and former Tottenham Hotspur boss Pochettino is a fan of Henderson.
Henderson has entered the final two years of his contract at Liverpool.

Encouraging for Liverpool fans
It is hard to imagine Henderson leaving Liverpool this summer.
Of course, anything is possible when the transfer window is open.
Now with Klopp saying that a deal will be agreed, it must be very encouraging for the Liverpool fans.
Henderson may be 31 now, but the former Sunderland star is at the top of his game and remains a key figure in the Liverpool team.
Henderson has scored 31 goals in 361 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
