Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has explained on BT Sport 1 (7:32pm, February 10, 2022) why Jordan Henderson did not play against Leicester City at Anfield in the Premier League.
Klopp’s Liverpool took on Leicester at Anfield in the Premier League on Thursday evening.
England international midfielder Henderson did not play in the game.
Ahead of the match, Liverpool manager Klopp said that the 31-year-old – who has been on the books of the Reds since 2011 when he joined from Sunderland for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £20 million – has back problems, which is why he did not play against Leicester.
Henderson started for Liverpool in the FA Cup tie against Cardiff City at Anfield last weekend.

Hoping a quick comeback
In our view, it is very likely that Henderson will be back in action for Liverpool soon.
Although Klopp has said that Henderson has back problems, the Liverpool boss has suggested that they are not very serious.
So, in our opinion, this suggests that Klopp is not overly concerned about the injury suffered by Henderson.
Henderson is a big player for Liverpool and will play a major role for the Reds in the coming weeks and months.
