Jordan Botaka claims that Leeds United would be able to compete for the Eredivisie title.
Leeds United’s Jordan Botaka
Jordan Botaka has told Voetbal International that Leeds United are good enough to compete for the Eredivisie title.
Botaka joined West Yorkshire outfit Leeds from Eredivisie side Excelsior in the summer of 2015.
The Whites have not featured in the Premier League since 2004 and has become also-rans in the Championship in recent years.

Leeds failed to finish in the top 10 of the Championship this past season, but Botaka, who can play as a winger or as a forward, has claimed that they are good enough to at least challenge for the league title in the Dutch top flight.
“This Leeds United would push most in the Eredivisie for the title,” the 22-year-old told Voetbal International, as translated by Inside Futbol. “I am not saying we would be champions, but I am convinced we would be near the top.”

It is quite a bold claim from Botaka, especially when one notes that Leeds did not even end up in the top 10 of the Championship during the 2015-16 campaign.
The current Leeds squad has some good players, such as Stuart Dallas, Alex Mowatt and Charlie Taylor, but overall this is a very average team.
Is the quality of the Eredivisie that poor that this Leeds team would be able to compete with the likes of PSV and Ajax for the league title?
Or is Botaka trying to oversell Leeds?
