Jordan Ayew admits he offered ex-Aston Villa team-mate advice on his future.

Jordan Ayew has told SFR Sport that he advised former Aston Villa team-mate Jordan Amavi to join Marseille because he “deserved a good club”.
The 23-year-old left Aston Villa to join the French giants on a season-long loan last month.
The French left-back was one of the Villans’ more valuable assets but a permanent move to Sevilla collapsed after the Spanish club claimed that he failed a medical – a claim which Villa owner Dr Tony Xia strongly denied

In any case, Amavi, who fell behind Neil Taylor in the pecking order under Steve Bruce in the second half of last season, seemed keen to leave the West Midlands and Marseille offered him an escape route.
And his former Aston Villa team-mate Ayew – who is now at Swansea City – tells SFR Sport that he recommended the Stade Velodrome club to his friend.

“Amavi had told me about the options that he had, I told him to sign for Marseille.
“I was happy for him, because he is someone who deserves a good club, because he is a very good player.”
Amavi is finding the regular football which eluded him under Bruce at Aston Villa last term.
So far, he has started four games for Marseille, including one in the Europa League, and it would appear as if he’s enjoying his football once again.
