Sundman’s contract at Villa is set to expire at the end of the season, and he will not be signing new terms.
The 19-year-old never made a first-team appearance for Villa, with injury problems plaguing him.
And Sundman admits that things never really worked out for him in English football.
Sundman arrived at Villa back in 2014, when he was just 16.
The Finish defender had been scouted while playing for SJK’s youth team.
Sundman now looks likely to return to Finnish football, as he seeks more first-team action.
Sundman made seven appearances for Villa’s development squad this season in Premier League 2.
