Celtic winger Jonny Hayes has been ruled out for the entire 2017-18 campaign.

Celtic winger Jonny Hayes has thanked fans, the Hoops’ medical team and his teammates on Instagram after fracturing his tibia in a 2-0 win over Dundee on Boxing Day.
The Daily Record reported a shattering update over the 30-year-old, stating that he will be ruled out for the entire 2017-18 season after fracturing his tibia following a challenge with Dundee defender Josh Meekings on Boxing Day.
Hayes has been on the fringes under Brendan Rodgers since his move to the Scottish champions from Aberdeen, starting just six of his 15 Scottish Premiership outings for the Bhoys.

However, he starred against his old side prior to the 2-0 Boxing Day win over Dundee, scoring and creating another in a 3-0 win over the Dons. Now, he has been ruled out for the entire season, and took to Instagram with a heartfelt message.
Hayes wrote: “Football has its ups and down but it’s still the best job in the world! I’d just like to thank everyone for their well wishes, it does mean a lot!
“I’m lucky enough to have a great medical team behind me and a brilliant bunch of boys that I’ll still see everyday, so things could always be worse!”
Hayes was replaced in the 28th minute after going down under a robust challenge from Meekings, in a match that saw Leigh Griffiths and James Forrest find the back of the net to earn a 2-0 win.
The former Leicester City and Reading ace still has two years remaining on his contract with Celtic but the injury could put a severe dent on his future with Rodgers’ side.
