West Bromwich Albion defender Jonny Evans has suggested to The Daily Mail that West Ham United have been found out.

The former Manchester United defender made the comments following West Brom’s victory over West Ham at the weekend.

The Baggies got the better of the Hammers 4-2 at The Hawthorns in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Evans featured against the London outfit, starting the game and played for the entire 90 minutes.

The 28-year-old defender has suggested that West Ham have been found out, as Slaven Bilic’s side continue to struggle in the Premier League.

“They play a very expansive and open game of football,” Evans told The Daily Mail about West Ham after the match.

“Last season it worked for them because they caught a lot of teams by surprise. Teams have watched them. We studied them this week and we saw that they are not always working back and the wingers.

“They leave a lot of players high up for the counter-attack and we knew if we were patient today and worked the ball in the final third, we could hurt them.”

West Ham are struggling for points and for wins at the moment, and are looking very poor defensively.

The London outfit are third from bottom in the Premier League table at the moment with just three points from five matches.

Bilic’s side will return to action on Wednesday evening when they take on Accrington Stanley at the London Stadium in the third round of the EFL Cup.

The Hammers will face Southampton at home in the Premier League this coming Sunday.
