Aston Villa’s Jonathan Kodjia celebrates scoring their first goal
Just this weekend for example he posted a genuinely sincere tribute to the late Graham Taylor, after the former Aston Villa and England boss sadly passed away.
He is currently away on international duty with the Ivory Coast at the African Cup of Nations but before he played his first game at the competition he had a message for the Villa fans.
He had this message, after fans lamented the lack of their star attacker following the 1-0 loss to Wolves at the weekend:
Kodjia is undoubtedly a key player for Villa, having scored nine league goals since arriving from Bristol City at the start of the season and fans will be hoping he is back from Gabon as soon as possible.
Kodjia featured for The Elephants in their group opener today, as they drew 0-0 with Togo. He started the game, but came off for Max Gradel in the 82nd minute.
