Jonathan Barnett comments on Gareth Bale to Tottenham Hotspur speculation

Real Madrid reportedly want Christian Eriksen of Tottenham Hotspur.

Earlier this month, The Mirror reported that Real Madrid are interested in signing Christian Eriksen from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2019.

It was reported that Madrid are ready to include Wales international winger Gareth Bale in a deal with Spurs over Eriksen.

The Spanish and European giants are prepared to offer Bale and £50 million to Spurs in order to secure the services of the 27-year-old Denmark international attacking midfielder, according to the report.

Bale’s agent, Jonathan Barnett, though, has dismissed the speculation, and has claimed on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Tuesday morning (8:39am, March 5, 2019) that the report is “stupid”.

Barnett said on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Tuesday morning (8:39am, March 5, 2019): “Some stupid journalist wrote Eriksen, Bale plus £50m, Real are going to pay for Eriksen. I mean, what sort of stupid news is that?”
