The pair worked together at Birmingham City last season and could reunite at Rangers after Mark Warburton’s departure from Ibrox.

Glasgow Rangers loanee Jon Toral has spoken highly of prospective new boss Gary Rowett.
Rowett has been strongly linked with the vacant manager’s job at Ibrox over the past few days, having been sacked by Birmingham City in December – despite being three points off third in the Championship.
Toral spent whole of last season under Rowett’s wing, scoring eight goals and creating another four as the Blues fell short of a place in the play-offs.
Perhaps understandably then, the Spanish midfielder is seemingly encouraged by the speculation surrounding his former boss and Rangers.
“Gary is a great manager, I really enjoyed my time with him and I really learned a lot,” Toral said, as quoted by the Scottish Sun.
“I’m not really surprised that he’s been linked. I think he’s going to be named for every job that comes around.
“I went on loan there, I got loads of games and I felt like I was an important part of the team. He gave me that confidence to grow as a player.
“When you go out on loan it’s always good to have a manager who really believes in you. He really did treat me well and I wish him the best.”
Toral began the current campaign with La Liga outfit Granada, but had his loan spell cut short to link up with another of his old bosses, Mark Warburton, at Rangers.
The 22-year-old previously worked under the Englishman at Brentford, where he was again borrowed by Arsenal.
As well as Rowett, Rangers have been strongly linked with a move for Al Gharafa boss Pedro Caixinha, a former scout at the Gers’ Old Firm rivals Celtic.
