Joe Aribo and Jordan Jones have joined Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers.
Jordan Jones of Rangers
Jones, who joined Rangers in the summer transfer window after signing a pre-contract agreement with Steven Gerrard’s side back in January 2019, played for the Gers in their pre-season friendly match against Welsh club The New Saints.
Former Hamilton Academical midfielder Routledge played against Rangers for The New Saints, and he was impressed with winger Jones and midfielder Joe Aribo, who joined the Gers in the summer transfer window.
Daniel Redmond, another former Hamilton player, was also impressed with the display produced by Jones against TNS.
Routledge told The Daily Record: “It’s hard to judge any player, especially during a closed-door pre-season bounce game.
“Having said that, the two Rangers players that stood out the most and caught the eye were Jordan Jones and Joe Aribo.
“It is very early days but Jones has the makings of being a really good player. He is capable of progressing his career at Rangers.”
Redmond told The Daily Record: “Jones impressed me the most. He is a very tricky opponent. He looked really comfortable and was very good whenever he got on the ball.
“Jones performed really well with Northern Ireland and Kilmarnock last season and he earned his move to Rangers. A lot of people at Rangers have high hopes for the player and I can see why.”

Challenging Celtic
Both Jones and Aribo are very good players who will enhance the quality of the current Rangers team and make them better.
Rangers finished second in the Scottish Premiership table last season, and the Gers will be aiming to challenge bitter Old Firm rivals for the league title during the 2019-20 campaign.
