More than a quarter of a century on, Jon Newsome has revisited his decision to quit Sheffield Wednesday to join Leeds United.
Newsome retired from the game in 2000 after injuries cut his career short, but remains a fan of the club where he began his career.
The Sheffield born star left the Owls in 1991, joining their Yorkshire rivals, where he won the title in his first season at the club.

Now active on social media, the former defender admits his switch soured some sections of the support towards him, but said it was the right move for his career.
He went on to elaborate that his desire to play first team football was behind the move, rejecting the suggestion it was a financially motivated decision..
Newsome lasted three years at Leeds before joining Norwich City, and eventually re-signing for Sheffield Wednesday back in 1996.
He is 46 currently, having been forced to quit the game at just 29.
