Joleon Lescott has told Sky Sports that he believes Marco Silva will make Richarlison Everton’s permanent number nine.

Richarlison begun this campaign as a winger, which is a position he is most familiar with.

However, the Brazilian has been used as a central striker for Everton more recently.

And Lescott feels that Silva will end up changing Richarlison’s position permanently, to make him Everton’s main striker.

The former Toffees defender said: “Richarlison might have started out wide, but I think now he’s got his full strength squad available, his long-term future is as a striker.”

Richarlison helped Everton pick up a 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace yesterday, although he did not get on the scoresheet.

The Toffees ended up striking late, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Cenk Tosun scoring their goals.

Everton are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Manchester United at Old Trafford.
