Chelsea loanee Tammy Abraham is currently enjoying a stellar season in the Championship with Aston Villa.

Joleon Lescott has urged Chelsea to recall in-form striker Tammy Abraham from Aston Villa and ‘give him the opportunity’ in the first team.
The Telegraph report that AC Milan forward Higuain, who worked with Maurizio Sarri at Napoli, is edging closer to a loan move to Stamford Bridge.
But Villa flop Lescott believes that the London club are better off recalling their 21-year-old academy product, who is flying high in the Championship.
“For me, a no brainer will be bringing back Tammy Abraham,” Lescott told The Debate show on Sky Sports on 21/01/2019 at 10:20 pm. “Get him back from Aston Villa. Give him the games.
“You give him the opportunity to fail [and] if it doesn’t work out for him [then] you have given a young talent an opportunity and the fans will have time for that.
“Now, they are expecting Higuain to come in and score goals instantly. Whereas, they would have had patience for Tammy.”

It is fair to say that Villa fans will be pretty annoyed with Lescott’s comments about Abraham, mainly because of how important the Chelsea loanee is to them and because of how the former is thought of in B6.
Former centre-back Lescott was part of the Villa team that was relegated to the second tier of English football in 2016 as his relationship with the fans turned toxic during that season.
Nonetheless, under Dean Smith, Villa are hoping to make a return to the promised land and they are pinning their hopes on star man Abraham to fire them into the top six.
Despite Abraham being the Championship’s top goal-getter with 17 goals, Villa are seven points outside of the top-six following their 2-2 draw against Hull over the weekend.
