Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to criticise Sean Dyche, after the Burnley boss was found to have made some hypocritical comments.
What’s the story?
Well, Dyche was not happy with Jürgen Klopp, after the German criticised some of his players for rough treatment at Anfield.
Dyche – who earns £70,000-a-week – said: “I’m disappointed he [Klopp] is name-checking players. There’s absolutely no need to do that.”
Interestingly, a Liverpool fan dug up comments the 50-year-old said back in 2018, when he himself name-checked Mohamed Salah for diving.
After Liverpool beat Newcastle 4-0, Dyche hit out at the Egypt international in a press conference, saying: “The Salah one [diving accusation] is bizarre, in terms of how the FA decides it doesn’t fall into its criteria.”
Now, it’s evident that Dyche has a short memory, or else he would’ve remembered himself doing exactly what he hammered Klopp for.
Bad blood between Liverpool and Burnley?

This isn’t the first time Klopp and Dyche have clashed.
Midway through Burnley’s 1-0 win at Anfield back in January, the two Premier League managers were involved in a heated incident.
Klopp could be seen lashing out at Dyche as the Burnley boss tried to make his way down the tunnel, for reasons neither of them disclosed.

It’s not exactly your traditional rivalry like the Merseyside or Manchester derby, although there’s certainly something that irks Liverpool about Burnley.
Let’s see what the Liverpool fans on Twitter have been saying about Dyche’s hypocrisy…
