Some Blackburn Rovers fans aren’t happy with the way that Tony Mowbray decided to use Liverpool loanee Harvey Elliott last night.

Elliott has made a promising start since moving to Ewood Park from Liverpool, with the 17-year-old catching the eye down the wing.

However, in the second-half last night, Elliott was given a role as a false nine.

While the youngster still managed to perform well, Blackburn fans think that Mowbray had far better options to use up-front.

And Rovers supporters don’t seem particularly keen on the idea of using Elliott up top again.

Blackburn ultimately drew 0-0 with Middlesbrough, and they could consider themselves relatively fortune to pick up a point.

Blackburn mustered up just six shots, and didn’t show their usual attacking class.

Elliott has made five Championship appearances since moving from Liverpool, scoring once and claiming two assists.
