Newcastle United fans are fuming with an update from the Daily Mail, which says that they will be largely reliant on loans and free transfers this summer.
Newcastle’s failed takeover attempt has left the club’s transfer plans in tatters, with Steve Bruce now operating on a limited budget.
The Magpies are expected to have very minimal funds to spend, according to the Mail, with Bruce having to search for bargains.
And the news that Newcastle will largely rely on are transfers and loan players has left the St. James’ Park crowd furious.
Newcastle’s squad clearly needs work doing to it, so their budgetary restrictions could really harm their chances next season.
Bruce badly needs to find a goalscorer, but they don’t typically come cheaply, and his task could be practically impossible.
And Newcastle supporters concerns are now understandable.
The Magpies may have comfortably avoided the drop last season, but they have suffered with a lack of ambition for a number of years now.
And if Newcastle are not able to spend on new recruits this summer, they could be set for another season of struggle next term.
