Manchester United and Brazil international defensive midfielder Casemiro has paid a big compliment to Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus while praising Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison, as quoted in The Athletic.
Arsenal striker Jesus, Tottenham forward Richarlison and Manchester United midfielder Casemiro all are part of the Brazil squad for the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
Casemiro is one of the first names on the Brazil teamsheet, while Richarlison started against Serbia in their opening match and scored two goals.
Jesus has been playing well for Arsenal this season following his move from defending Premier League champions Manchester City in the summer of 2022 for £45 million (The Daily Mail).
However, it seems that Richarlison, who switched to Tottenham from Everton in the summer of 2022, is ahead of Jesus in the pecking order for Brazil.
Casemiro, who joined United from Real Madrid in the summer of 2022, has praised his Brazil teammates and has outlined the strength of his team.
The midfielder has said that he and some of his Brazil teammates feel sorry for the opposition and joke about the quality of attacking players they have got, noting that they can bring on Jesus for Richarlison as a replacement.

Casemiro on Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus and Tottenham Hotspur’s Richarlison
Casemiro said: “We could spend several day talking about Neymar, the player he is, his qualities and how important he is for our team. It’s unavoidable, he is our biggest player, the difference maker in our team.
“However, we have other players that have been performing in the same level like Vinicius Jr, Raphinha, Richarlison, Gabriel Jesus…
“We, those who play in the back end, often joke that we feel sorry for our rivals because we can replace Raphinha for Antony, Richalison for Gabriel Jesus. We have Rodrygo, Gabriel Martinelli…
“We have a wide array of options (on the bench). It’s great for us. But it does not change the fact that Neymar is our best player.”
