Fulham need to improve in front of goal if they are serious about their promotion hopes, claims boss Slavisa Jokanovic.

Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic has called on his side to adopt a killer approach as they travel to Wigan Athletic tomorrow, in comments appearing on Fulham’s official website.
Currently occupying sixth in the table, the Cottagers were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw at home to Burton Albion on Tuesday, with teenager Ryan Sessegnon sparing their blushes with a late leveller.
Jokanovic, who earned promotion to the top-flight with Watford in 2014, has lamented his side’s wastefulness in front of goal and has warned this must be eradicated if they are to retrieve three points at the DW Stadium.

Speaking to Fulham’s official website, he said “We were not clinical enough and we arrived at the end of the game with a big problem but we were able to score one goal and get one point. This is a positive for us but we have to find a solution for this kind of thing in the future.
“We need to find some style in these types of games to find space in a game when there is no space. We have to put the opposition under pressure with the ball and without the ball.
“This is the Championship and we have to be ready for different situations.”
Fulham’s Matt Smith looks dejected after a miss
Wigan have not started the season well following promotion from League One last season. After three straight defeats, they currently sit second-bottom of the table on four points. However, Jokanovic is not taking anything for granted as the Cottagers seek their fourth away win of the season.
“It’s our job to know in theory what they are going to do in the game,” he insisted. “We have to be focused on what we have to do. We have to be a team who dominates the situation and we have to be a team who believes we are a better team than they are.”
Fulham have made the best start to a season since the 03/04 campaign, when they won four of their opening seven Premier League games, and will look to extend that good run of form this weekend as they seek a return to the top-flight after an absence of nearly three years.
