Leeds United fans on Twitter bombarded Rodrigo de Paul’s Twitter message after he was sent off for Udinese on Sunday.

As the hours pass, Leeds fans are well aware that a deal for De Paul won’t happen, but that hasn’t stopped them from trying.

The Sun did claim that Leeds were looking to bring in the midfielder this month – clearly, that won’t happen – but they will still be looking at him for the summer.

Whilst Leeds were putting three goals past Leicester City on Sunday, De Paul was scoring from the spot-kick and then being shown his marching orders against Spezia Calcio.

Nonetheless, it will be interesting to see how much Leeds push for De Paul in the summer because if he continues his current form then it will only increase their chances of knocking.

Added with that, things are looking on the up for Bielsa and his players in the Premier League in regards to staying in the division.

So, whilst the Whites faithful couldn’t help put post several messages to De Paul about joining them on Deadline Day, they will have to wait several months now.

Nonetheless, here is a selection of Leeds fans reacting to De Paul’s Twitter message:
