Everton fans have urged Max Aarons to join them, after his tweet following their Merseyside derby victory over Liverpool.

Aarons was responding to a video of a crunching challenge by his former teammate Ben Godfrey during the game, and Everton fans quickly jumped on the Twitter message.

They suggested that Aarons should make the same move that Godfrey did and come and join them from Norwich.

Everton have already been linked with Aarons, although they are yet to really push for a deal.

The Daily Mail reported in January that the Toffees are keen on the right-back, who is valued at around £30 million.

If Aarons was brought to Everton he could be a long-term replacement for Seamus Coleman, who is reaching the twilight of his career now.

Aarons has been one of the standout players in the Championship this term and proved to be a bright attacking threat during his one season in the Premier League last year.
