Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack will serve a three-game suspension, and Ibrox legend Derek Johnstone gives his opinion.

Jack was shown a red card during the Scottish Premiership game between Aberdeen and Rangers at the Pittodrie Stadium last weekend.
Rangers appealed against the decision to send off the 25-year-old defensive midfielder, which was rejected and the former Aberdeen star has been given a three-game suspension.
It was unlikely that the Gers were going to win the appeal, but Rangers legend Johnstone has suggested that he understands why the Ibrox club made the appeal.

The 64-year-old former Scotland international has pointed out that last season Celtic midfielder Brown was shown a red card against Ross County which was later rescinded.
The 32-year-old Scotland international star was sent off for a stoppage-time challenge on Liam Boyce in a 2-2 draw in April 2017.

Johnstone wrote in The Glasgow Evening Times: “I can understand why Rangers put the appeal in.
“If you remember last season, Scott Brown got a stone wall red card up at Ross County and he got away with it and it was rescinded.
“If that can happen, then you never know. There was a slight chance that Ryan’s could have got overturned. Stranger things have happened but it wasn’t to be for Ryan.”
