Rangers manager Graeme Murty is set to remain at Ibrox until the end of the season.

Rangers legend Derek Johnstone has claimed in his Evening Times column that Light Blues boss Graeme Murty has lost the backing of the Ibrox support after one point from a possible nine.
Murty, 43, has impressed since taking over at Ibrox until the end of the season following the sacking of Pedro Caixinha towards the end of 2017, with many calling for the ex-Reading defender to be given the job on a full-time basis.
But a loss to Celtic and Kilmarnock before a draw against Motherwell has put a whole new perspective on things. The Gers now sit 13 points behind Celtic in third place, with Aberdeen taking advantage.

Johnstone claimed in his column that Rangers fans no longer want Murty to be manager at Ibrox beyond the end of the season, and that they want a manager who can excite them again.
“I think the majority of them have decided that they don’t want Graeme Murty to be the boss next season. That isn’t anything against him, though,” Johnstone said.
“He was thrown into the situation for a second time and has given it his best shot. Overall, he has done a decent job and I am sure the fans will thank him for his efforts once again.
“They are there, waiting, for something to get behind again and looking for a manager and signings that will excite them and allow Rangers to challenge for silverware once again.”

Murty perhaps has one last chance at nicking the job on a permanent basis as they face Old Firm rivals Celtic in the Scottish Cup on April 15, in what comes as one last chance to stop Celtic in their pursuit of a second successive treble.
However, focus turns to Ibrox this weekend as the Gers play host to Neil McCann’s Dundee in what should be a first three points in four Scottish Premiership outings for the Light Blues and Murty.
