Rangers have completed five signings this month, including a permanent Ibrox deal for left-back Declan John.

Rangers legend Derek Johnstone has told the Glasgow Evening Times that he believes Russell Martin and Jamie Murphy will be excellent additions at Ibrox.
Centre-back Martin is the latest of four fresh new faces at Ibrox, after confirming a loan deal until the end of the season from Championship side Norwich City after the club also confirmed deals for Murphy, Sean Goss and Jason Cummings.
Manager Graeme Murty has also brought Murphy to Ibrox on loan from Premier League outfit Brighton and Hove Albion, but his temporary deal will be made permanent in the summer.

Johnstone, who played for the Gers for 13 years between 1970 and 1983, delivered verdicts on both signings in his column with the Evening Times stating that he expects both players to be crucial in Light Blue.
“I think Murphy is a fantastic signing as well and he will certainly add to the attacking options, and then you have got Martin providing leadership and experience at the back,” Johnstone said.

Murphy jetted out to America to feature in the Florida Cup for Rangers during the winter break, helping the Gers win 1-0 against Atletico Mineiro and 4-2 against Corinthians. However, Martin was signed too late to travel.
Both players could make their competitive debuts for the Scottish giants on Sunday afternoon, as the Gers go up against Highland League minnows Fraserburgh in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup.
