Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm look to be LIV Golf’s strongest bets to deliver a major champion in 2026.

Jon Rahm made clear progress throughout the 2025 campaign. Though his best major finish was seventh, he did share the lead during Sunday’s final round at the PGA Championship.

The Spaniard, who once again took home LIV Golf’s individual title, also showed his class during another Ryder Cup appearance for Europe.

Bryson DeChambeau, meanwhile, was in the final pairing on Sunday at The Masters. He’s also finished runner-up at the PGA Championship in each of the last two years.

It feels particularly important that 2026 sees Rahm seriously contend in the majors. He is still fighting to prove that he did not make a real mistake joining LIV in December 2023. “I think Bryson for me personally,” he said.

“I think just the way he’s played Augusta, the way he’s played the US Open, PGA’s. Obviously, the run he had in the last three days at The Open Championship was incredible, but the wind laid down.

It’s interesting to note that Rahm and DeChambeau have now played the same number of major championships during their careers.

They both have two victories. Rahm, however, is one step closer to completing the Career Grand Slam, having won both The Masters and the US Open.

Rahm still holds the edge overall, but DeChambeau has become more consistent when it matters most. He has six top 10s in his last eight major starts.

The American still has some weaknesses to sort out in his game. As for Rahm, you’d back him to pull things together before too long. No one would be shocked to see either player contending at a major over the next year.
