Aston Villa assistant manager John Terry has responded to Declan Rice’s post on Instagram following West Ham United’s win against Sheffield United.
West Ham got the better of United 3-0 at the London Stadium in the Premier League on Monday evening.
Rice, who can operate as a defender or as a defensive midfielder, scored from the penalty spot in the 41st minute to open the scoring for the Hammers.
The England international had a very good game overall, as the 22-year-old dominated in the middle of the park, drove the team forward, showed some excellent passing range, and stopped the Blades from playing their game.
According to WhoScored, the youngster took two shots, had a pass accuracy of 91.5%, won one header, took 55 touches, and made one tackle.

The win means that West Ham are now fifth in the Premier League table with 42 points from 24 matches, level on points with fourth-placed and London rivals Chelsea.
Villa assistant manager Terry has praised Rice on Instagram for his performance, as shown below.
The Villans are eighth in the league table with 36 points from 22 games and are also in the running for the Champions League places.
