John Terry has taken a dig at Tottenham Hotspur on Instagram, during a question and answer session.

A Spurs fan simply sent in the message ‘Tottenham Hotspur forever’ and Terry could not resist using the opportunity to take a pop at the Lilywhites.

The former Chelsea defender posted just two emojis, which referenced Tottenham’s lack of trophies in recent times.

Tottenham have failed to lift silverware during Mauricio Pochettino’s time in charge, despite making vast progress.

The last time Spurs won any silverware was the League Cup back in 2008, meaning their fans have been waiting a long time to see their side win a trophy.

Tottenham may still have hope of being triumphant in May this year though.

Spurs have forced their way into the title fight, and they are currently battling with both Manchester City and Liverpool to take top spot in the league.
