Aston Villa have signed Philippe Coutinho on loan until the end of the season in what could very well be the best signing of the window.

The £142m man has reunited with his former Liverpool teammate Steven Gerrard at Villa Park, and it’s fair to say that the fanbase are excited by this move.

However, it’s not just fans who are excited by Coutinho, former Villa man, John Terry, has taken to social media to react to this announcement.

It seems as though Coutinho has the seal of approval from JT, and to be honest, it’s not hard to see why Terry is impressed by this deal.

Coutinho is genuinely a world-class talent. He’s played for Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Liverpool and Inter, while he’s also been a regular for Brazil for the best part of a decade.

He’s a skilful player who can be utilised either in the midfield or out wide, and if he rediscovers his best form at Villa Park, then Steven Gerrard will have one of the best players in the Premier League on his hands.

Villa have landed him on a six-month loan, but don’t be surprised if the Midlands club exercise their option to buy at the end of the season.
