John Terry joined Aston Villa on a free transfer nine months ago.

Aston Villa ace John Terry spoke exclusively to talkSPORT about his season so far at Villa Park, and insisted that he made the correct decision to join the Villans back in the summer of 2017.
The 37-year-old joined Steve Bruce’s side on a free transfer nine months ago, after his contract with Chelsea expired, and he has gone on to be a real hit with the Villa fans.

Terry has brought a certain level of organisation and quality to Villa’s back-line – something that they desperately lacked before he arrived at the club.
The former Chelsea and England skipper has also been a fantastic influence on the club’s youngsters, what with his incredible work ethic away from the football pitch.
He spoke exclusively to talkSPORT today, and responded when asked whether he regrets dropping down a division in the twilight of his career:

“It’s been an incredible journey so far. There’s still a few games to go until the end of the season and the play-offs obviously but it’s one I’ve thoroughly enjoyed. I certainly made the right decision in the summer.”
Villa look to be consigned to the play-offs this season, and what a huge boost it will be for them to have someone with Terry’s experience and class amongst their ranks heading into what is a notoriously difficult period of the campaign.
