Chelsea legend John Terry enjoyed Aston Villa’s ‘Three Point Lane’ Instagram message after they beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 on Sunday.

That’s back-to-back wins at Tottenham for Unai Emery’s side and Aston Villa couldn’t help themselves but dig at their opponents after the match.

Former Chelsea captain John Terry, who played and coached Aston Villa for a period, reacted to the message on Instagram.

Ange Postecoglou’s side should have been out of sight in the first half, especially given that Giovani Lo Celso opened the scoring.

But Spurs just didn’t punish their opponents and they paid for it because Pau Torres headed in the equaliser just before the break.

That’s when Unai Emery worked his tactical magic, changed things up, brought on Youri Tielemans and Leon Bailey at the break, who changed the game.

The Belgian supplied the assist for Ollie Watkins’ winning goal after a brilliant one-two – Tim Sherwood stated that the midfielder was the ‘difference maker’.

Nonetheless, this is how John Terry reacted to Villa’s ’Three Point Lane’ message on Instagram.

He wrote in the comments section of the IG post: ‘JT was on admin for the day,’ added with a few laughter emojis. ‘3 Point Lane’, with more laughter emojis.

Villa move above Spurs

This was a big win because it pushed Villa ahead of Spurs and into fourth place – it was also the London side’s third defeat on the bounce.

After such a strong start, Postecoglou’s side are falling like a leaf from the tree and it doesn’t get any easier with Manchester City up next.

Whilst Villa will look ahead and the two-point gap between themselves and leaders Arsenal.

You won’t blame injury-hit Spurs if they look behind them because Manchester United and Newcastle United are now hunting them down.
