John Terry raves about Aston Vila youngster Callum O’Hare

Aston Villa have an exciting crop of youngsters eyeing a place in Steve Bruce’s side.

John Terry has been quoted by Aston Villa’s Twitter account as saying that teenage playmaker Callum O’Hare is the one to watch from the club’s academy.

Steve Bruce’s side boast a number of young stars that have shown promise since being relegated into the Championship, including Andre Green, Keinan Davis and Rushian Hepburn-Murphy.

But Terry has “pinpointed” 19-year-old O’Hare as the one academy prospect to rave about, as the playmaker continues to push Bruce’s senior players for a place in the first team.

Former England and Chelsea captain Terry, who has impressed since joining the Midlands giants in the summer, has identified O’Hare as one of the best in the club’s academy and expects him to do big things in the near future.

“Callum O’Hare is going to be a really good player,” Terry declared, as quoted by the club’s official Twitter account. “He’s the one I have pinpointed.

“He floats in between us and the Under-23 group. He makes a real impact. He is going to be a real prospect.”

O’Hare has already made his mark in the Villa first team after impressing throughout pre-season, making six appearances in all competitions for the Midlands giants this term.

The Solihull-born youngster even supplied the assist for Chris Samba’s goal in the 2-1 loss to Sheffield Wednesday, after scoring five goals in just six Premier League 2 appearances for Villa’s reserve side.

The youngster has a contract at Villa Park until the summer of 2019 and is expected to be a first-team regular sooner rather than later if he continues his impressive form.
