John Terry has been sidelined since suffering an injury during Aston Villa’s 2-1 loss to Sheffielfd Wednesday.

The 36-year-old has been sidelined since breaking his fifth metatarsal during Villa’s 2-1 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday earlier this month, which saw him some off the field of play in the 21st minute.

Prior to the injury, Terry had played every single minute of Villa’s Championship outings, helping the Midlands giants keep seven clean sheets in 16 games and has even scored for Steve Bruce’s side in a 2-1 win over Fulham.
The former England and Chelsea captain informed fans that he is nearing a return by posting a picture of his x-ray and a video of a workout on a stationary bike, along with the caption “x-ray looking good and another good day today”.
Villa have not missed Terry, winning all three of their matches in his absence largely thanks to the incredible goalscoring form of Ghana international Albert Adomah.
Bruce’s side have earned victories against QPR, Sunderland and Ipswich, scoring two goals in each match with winger Adomah scoring five of those six goals.
Now, Bruce will be hoping his side can continue their good form against Leeds United on Friday evening, with Terry nearing a return to first-team football. It remains to be seen when Villa’s number 26 will return to action.
