Aston Villa defender John Terry broke his foot against Sheffield Wednesday.

John Terry has told Aston Vila fans he “can’t wait to be back” from injury on Instagram, as he posted a video of his workout that saw the veteran defender training in a cast.
The 36-year-old defender broke his fifth metatarsal prior to the international break during a 2-1 loss to Sheffield Wednesday, that forced the former England and Chelsea captain off the field of play.

However, he has been working hard and keeping Villa fans up to date on his recovery, posting numerous videos of his training and techniques to quicken his recovery.
Taking to his Instagram account on Monday evening, Terry showed fans that he has been doing weights in the gym and keeping match sharp in the swimming pool – all with a cast on his foot.
Prior to suffering the injury, Villa captain Terry had played every single minute of Aston Villa’s Championship campaign, helping the Midlands giants keep seven clean sheets in 16 outings as well as scoring against Fulham.
It remains to be seen when Terry will return to first-team football, but he is likely to be sidelined for a number of weeks. Villa next face Sunderland on Tuesday night as they look to build on their 2-1 win over QPR on Saturday.
