John Terry has broken his silence after Steve Bruce’s sacking at Newcastle United.
Bruce leaves Newcastle
Bruce signed Terry while in charge at Aston Villa, and provided him with the foundation to step into management.
The pair only worked together for a season before Bruce went on to take the job at Newcastle.
But Terry still sent a heartfelt message to the 60-year-old this morning, after Newcastle parted company with him earlier this week.
Bruce’s last job?
Bruce has now spoken about how the job at Newcastle may be his last in management.
The criticism he received has apparently put the veteran boss off getting straight back into work for the time being.
Bruce never quite managed to win over the bulk of Newcastle’s fans, despite guiding them to two mid-table finishes during his time at St. James’ Park.
He leaves Newcastle with the side languishing in 19th place in the Premier League table, after collecting just three points from their opening eight games.
Paulo Fonseca appears to be the manager waiting to step in to the void left by Bruce, with Newcastle now edging towards appointing the Portuguese boss, according to the Telegraph.
