John Terry loved the time he spent at Aston Villa.
John Terry sat down for an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail, and spoke highly of the time that he spent with Aston Villa, singling out three players in particular who he loved to train with.
The 37-year-old is on the verge of joining Russian side Spartak Moscow on a two-year deal, according to the Guardian, and that will be a real blow for Villa, with Steve Bruce thought to be keen on re-signing the experienced centre-back.
Aston Villa have made a mixed start to their Championship campaign, and currently sit in 12th spot in the table.
Bruce would have loved to have Terry around the place for the remainder of the campaign, but it looks like he will have to make do without him.
The former Chelsea and England skipper spoke exclusively to the Daily Mail, and shared how much he loved his time at Villa Park, naming three players in particular who he loved training with:
“At Villa I would be there at the training ground with Robert Snodgrass, Conor Hourihane and Jack Grealish, working hard and training hard. I loved it there. From the first training session I wanted to prove myself.”
Whether Villa can gain promotion without Terry remains to be seen, but one thing is for certain, Bruce’s men will really miss the inspirational leader this season.
