John Terry has played a huge part in Aston Villa defender Tyrone Mings earning an England call-up.

John Terry and Jack Grealish have congratulated their Aston Villa teammate Tyrone Mings on his maiden call-up to the England squad.
On Thursday, Gareth Southgate named the 26-year-old centre-back in England’s squad for their up and coming matches against Bulgaria and Kosovo, as reported by BBC Sport.
This time last season, Mings was recovering from injury and he was playing a back-up role at Bournemouth, with Villa, at that time, missing out on promotion following their defeat to Fulham in the Championship play-off final.
But in January, Villa came knocking for Mings’ services and his arrival helped transform a struggling Dean Smith side as they made a return to England’s top-flight.
Here is how Grealish and Terry reacted on Instagram to Mings’ call-up:

Terry, who is now part of Dean Smith’s coaching set-up, has no doubt played a huge part in Mings getting called up by England for the first time.
It is pretty obvious as to what Terry did during his career, but his experience and knowledge will be valuable to a Mings, who is now making that step up.
It is a well-deserved call-up for the former Bournemouth man because his presence at the back, leadership skills, ability to read the game and bring the ball out from the back has stood out ever since he walked through the doors of Bodymoor Heath in January.
