Tottenham Hotspur are at the top of the Premier League table, but Ange Postecoglou’s side will not win the title.

That is the opinion of former Chelsea and England international defender John Terry.

John Terry gives verdict on Tottenham Hotspur

In response to former Spurs player Jamie O’Hara’s comments on Twitter about Tottenham Hotspur potentially winning the Premier League title this season, Terry said ‘No’.

Tottenham beat Fulham 2-0 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Monday evening.

Spurs are at the top of the league table now with 23 points from nine matches.

Defending champions Manchester City and North London rivals Arsenal are second and third respectively in the standings with 21 points.

My View: Tottenham Hotspur fans should believe in potential title triumph

In my opinion, Tottenham Hotspur could win the Premier League title this season.

I know that it is unlikely.

Manchester City have the best squad in the Premier League.

Liverpool are a force to be reckoned with again, and Arsenal are not showing any signs of slowing down.

But, I believe that Spurs fans should believe in a potential title success.

After all, Arsenal almost beat Manchester City to the Premier League title last season.

The Gunners started last season aiming to finish in the top four.

Arsenal started to do better than expected as the season progressed and eventually pushed City all the way.

Why can’t Tottenham do that?

Spurs are playing good football and are winning matches.

Tottenham have scored 20 goals and conceded eight goals in nine Premier League matches this season.

That shows that Spurs are very good in attack and are defensively mean.

And, let us not forget that Tottenham do not have to play in European competitions this season.

So, Spurs can fully concentrate on the Premier League.
