Aston Villa secured a much-needed and deserved three points against Norwich City on Saturday afternoon.

Aston Villa players show their appreciation to the fans after the Premier League match between Norwich City and Aston Villa at Carrow Road on October 05, 2019 in Norwich, United Kingdom.

John Terry, Gabby Agbonlahor and Henri Lansbury expressed their delight on Instagram after Aston Villa mauled Norwich City 5-1 on Saturday afternoon.

Both Villa coach Terry and midfielder Lansbury, who was not part of the matchday squad that played at Carrow Road, agreed that Villa’s win against Norwich was ‘coming’.

Since the start of the season, Villa have dropped eight points from winning positions, but against Norwich, they made sure that they weren’t going to add to that tally.

After the game, Terry, Agbonlahor and Lansbury sent these messages from their personal Instagram accounts:

It was a deserved three points for Dean Smith’s side and finally a result and scoreline has backed the performance they have produced on the pitch.

The international break is now upon everyone and from Villa’s perspective, it has perhaps come at the wrong time.

Nonetheless, Villa have moved out of the bottom three and after the international break, they will be hoping to add some consistency to their game.

A number of tough and tasty fixtures are coming up later on this month, including a home clash against Brighton, EFL Cup tie against Wolves and away trip to Manchester City.

That clash at the Etihad Stadium is tough for anyone, so Villa will be hoping to go into that game with more confidence and momentum.
